We are okay!! And we are safe in Lamar, Colorado!

     For all of those that have been watching the news and are worried about us, we are safe in Lamar, Colorado!  There have been winds on the road in excess of 65mph and in a town close to us there were eighteen wheelers that were overturned from the wind which is what a lot of people were seeing on the news.  But, we were rescued today from the place we camped last night when it became unsafe and we knew we could not stay there but we also could not get on the road this morning.  A man from Lamar, Don Emick, came and got us with a horse trailer and hauled us to safety.  We are all safe in Lamar and will wait out the winds which are forecast to be the same tomorrow.  Hopefully we will head out again on Thursday.  Our thoughts and prayers go out to the victims of the tornadoes in the south which we learned about when we got into Lamar this morning.  I will be posting a new blog update tomorrow but my phone has been going crazy with everyone wanting to make sure we were okay.  So, just wanted to let you all know that we are safe and DB is in a nice barn tonight out of the wind!  Thanks for worrying about us!  And thank you to Don Emick for rescuing us today!
